Felicity Jones was born and raised in Britain and is most well-known as the actress who played Jane Hawking on the critically-acclaimed film The Theory of Everything. Jones has worked in films, plays and TV since her 12th birthday. The first film she appeared in was The Treasure Seekers, a TV film. In the following film, she was Ethel Hallow in The Worst Witch, and The follow-up Weirdsister college. Her debut film, Flashbacks of a Fool was a film that featured her as Young Ruth. Since then she has appeared in many movies. In movies like The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man 2, she gained acclaim for her acting. However it was her role as the wife of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything' that earned the actress the Oscar nomination the very first time. Jones received high praise from viewers and critics alike as she played Hawking's ex-wife, in this Stephen Hawking biopic. Jones was later seen in Inferno which was a horror film that starred Tom Hanks. Inferno was a thriller starring Tom Hanks. British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles gave Jones her the British Artist of the Year in 2016 due to her extraordinary talents and contributions to the cinema.
